MEMBERS CURRENTLY SURCHARGING
All principals are required, by law (the Package Travel Regulations), to comply with the following rules if they want to impose a surcharge on a package holiday:
- they must have the correct wording in their booking conditions;
- they must absorb an amount equal to 2% of the holiday cost; and
- they can't impose a surcharge inside 30 days of departure.
ABTA requires its Members to comply with the law. The following is a list of Members that comply in terms of booking conditions and the calculation of the surcharge, and that have notified ABTA that they intend to surcharge.
